NYSE Liffe® U.S. offers a portfolio of futures contracts based on MSCI Equity Indices, the market leading benchmark indices for the global investment community. The available contracts are MSCI EAFE (Europe, Australasia, Far East) Mini™ Index Futures, MSCI Emerging Markets Mini™ Index Futures and MSCI USA Mini™ Index Futures. These futures provide new opportunities for global market participants to invest in or manage risk associated with the exchanging world.
- MSCI Mini™ Index Futures are an effective, versatile tool through which investors can easily gain or hedge exposure to equity markets in a single transaction.
- In addition to offering broad and efficient coverage of international equity markets, futures on MSCI Indices provide market participants with unique trading opportunities across multiple asset classes; liquidity is created through a range of market making programs, while clearing and capital efficiencies are delivered via the clearing house.
- The MSCI EAFE Index is a free float-adjusted market capitalization index that is designed to measure the equity market performance of developed markets, excluding the U.S. and Canada. The MSCI Emerging Markets Index measures the equity market performance of emerging markets and the MSCI USA Index measures the equity market performance of the U.S.
- MSCI Mini Index Futures are cash-settled.
- The Options Clearing Corporation is the clearing house for NYSE Liffe®U.S. MSCI futures contracts.
